- Wishing to position the airport as a greater contributor to the Winston-Salem economy, the airport commission identified the need for updated hangar space
- When a large supersonic plane manufacturer announced they were coming to the area, H.S. Williams partnered with the general contractor, Shelco, to design modern hangars built with the newest materials
- Presented with a short timeline, H.S. Williams Company worked through extreme winter conditions to keep the building project on track
- The two new hangars are replacing three outdated and underutilized buildings – and outshine all similar complexes at the airport
